Flavor of the Bejeweled Month.

Designed by Jul Dizon herself, this magnificent piece is my ultra favorite for the month. A brooch of intricate design of 588 pieces of fine diamonds (2.913 carats) with pearl shape rose cut diamonds (4 pieces, 4.16 carats), detcheable from aquamarine beads necklace.

It is probably because of my Royal blood that I love this vintage inspired piece. After reading about Bloody Mary, I am now on to the life of Katherine of Aragon. The Queen that Anne Boleyn pushed out of the throne. Queen Katherine was poisoned little by little while locked up in The Tower. When she died, the autopsy report stated that all her organs were black because of poison.

Married first to Arthur, the older brother of Henry, the Royal fifteen-year-old may never have consummated their marriage. His bad health could have prevented this, for Arthur was stricken with tuberculosis and almost certainly infected with syphilis following some unwise youthful activities. Though, of course, he bragged extensively of having "spent the night in Spain," Katherine always maintained that she was still a virgin at the time of her marriage to Henry VIII. She was a lady of the highest integrity, so that we must, at least, assume that she believed this to be the case.

Katherine of Aragon.

Prince Arthur.

He died at the age of 16. He never became King because his father outlived him. His brother Henry, married Katherine and together, they became the King and Queen of England, until of course, Anne Boleyn had her disposed off so she can rule. Gosh, such deadly ambitions!

Okay, enough, I am getting carried away with my family matters.

Price upon request.

Very interesting story about your Royal family. I never knew that about the King and Queen of England.

But I am too lazy to read a fat book. If you can, let me know more, just tidbits here and there.

Thanks Candifier!
