Ponds at Pen!

Event: Ponds "Facebook" Party
Venue: The Peninsula Manila
Date: Nov. 13, 2007, 6 pm
Directed by: SAGA (Robbie Carmona)

It was a whole new group of people that I normally do not see in events. Probably the young and upcoming socialites of Manila. I only saw a handful of guests that are usually in parties that are not to be missed. Although the Ponds event was something that, perhaps for me, may be missed, it was still somehow fun and interesting, probably because I am a Facebook-er.

The set up was very nicely done. The Rigodon Ballroom was all white and pink lights illuminated the room. There were booths spread out and as you enter, you receive a passport so you may avail of what they have in store in each booth. They had a jail booth, messaging counter, flower shop, chocolate corner, dedication booth, happy hour bar, future telling tent and a photo station. Much like Facebook, you may send whatever you want to your crush for free. All you need is that passport to avail of these services. It is a good concept and a lot of interaction involved BUT I thought that it was a bit messy. Too many people that made it hard to move around. Getting from one booth to the next is quite difficult and when you do get to a station, there is a line and for VIP's like me (Bwahahahaha, my famous evil laugh), lines are not good.
