CEBOOOOO Pacific.

I know.....I have complained about this airline before and yet, I still used it for the Dos Palmas trip. MY BAD!

We were supposed to depart from Manila at 8:20. Of course, there was a delay....this is expected of Cebu Pacific. Anyway, we were able to leave an hour later. Because of the delay, at least the passengers were given Nova chips and coffee for the trouble.

Of course when you land and smell the salty air, all the waiting seems worth it.

Problem will start to crawl back when you know you are to ride the aircraft again. Especially if it is Cebu Pacific. We were asked to be at the airport at 2:45 pm for our 3:45 departure. When we got there, the computers were down. When we got to the front, we are informed that the flight is delayed by 2 hours. Some airplane turn around excuse that I have heard before.

We had to leave the airport to get something to eat. We got back and waited in the terminal and was again informed that the flight will be taking off at 7:15 pm. 5 1/2 hours of waiting! SUPER GREAT right!!!???? GEEEZZZ!!! In the terminal, while waiting, the passengers were offered NOTHING. No coffee, no Skyflakes, no bottled water. Some customer care!

But it doesn't end there.

We got to NAIA 3 and we are told that our plane did not have a parking space available. WONDERFUL!!!! So once again, we wait in the plane for half an hour.

So basically, the flight to Puerto Princesa takes only an hour and 5 minutes. But because I chose the wrong aircraft, the whole ordeal made us waste close to 7 hours just sitting as precious time passed us by. Time that cannot be reimbursed.

What I hate most is when the steward announces, "Thank you for flying Cebu Pacific. We apologize for the delay but we hope that we can make it up to you in future flights."

RIIIIGGGGHHHHTTT!!!! As if that is ever going to happen.

Next time I fly, I better hire someone who is dependable and will surely get me to where I want to be ON TIME!!!!

Lunching in Thailand.

It was a spur of the moment decision for us girls to go to Bangkok for the weekend. We took Cebu Pacific because it was cheap (P8,600 round trip). It departs Manila at 10:05 pm (which in real life is about 10:45 pm as the flight was delayed). We got into a freezing airplane, enough to wear thermal underwear. Mary Anne asked for a blanket and she was told that the blankets are for sale (P450.00). We had no idea that they weren't even going to serve water or Ding Dong peanuts. I mean, we never flew CP internationally before so were in Twilight Zone. No food at all??? I checked out the magazines and saw a "menu". For one cup of noodles, I would have to pay P100.00 (in the grocery, it is only P15.00). The chairs are built for robots. They did not follow the curve of the back and neck so in the end of the flight, we had ice dripping out of our noses, thundering sounds in our tummy, and neck as stiff as if it were injected with liquid Viagra.

The lesson here, fly Thai Airways or Philippine Airlines.

Anyway, lunch the following day made us all forget the horrific 3 hour trip. At Erawan Tea Room by Grand Hyatt Erawan, a beautiful ambiance made us go back to the land of the spoiled brats. We had a great meal and it didn't even hurt out pockets at all.
